Friends of Simsbury Crew has purchased a new novice boat. The "Hayden T. Hawthorne" is being rowed by the Novice Girls crew. It is a 2008 Vespoli Performer ES. Named in honor of Herb Hawthorne a former President of Friends, coach, supporter, rower, and NEIRA announcer.
We have also purchased a galvanized 39' Mo trailer. It will carry nine full eights. Now we will not have to share boats at races where we bring novices and varsity.
Our goal will be to purchase a second new novice eight for the boys next year.
We plan to sell the '94 shells (Darkhorse and Cowboy).

Sunday June 3, We said Goodbye to 15 Seniors
The class of 2007 marked an end of an era. Jenny Kulakowski graduated marking the end of the 6 year run of the Famous Kulakowski Brownies started by Stephanie in 2001, a much desired staple of SHS Crew events. The recipe has been a closely guarded secret. Now the recipe is available to all crewies. Keep the legend alive!
